What is BioThane?

BioThane has become the gold standard material for pet gear, providing incomparable strength, durability, and comfort. Fundamentally, BioThane is a high-performance material with a polyester webbed core layered with a waterproof PVC/TPU coating.

The extreme break strength of the core paired with the resistance of coating make it a game changing balance for dog owners - the soft flexibility of leather with the low maintenance durability to withstand all conditions. BioThane is manufactured in a variety of colors and widths, which allows for a range of gear customization options.

BioThane is non-porous and non-absorbent, making it not just 100% waterproof but also completely odor resistant and stink proof.

  • UV resistant and protected against high temperatures conditions and sun exposure without drying, cracking, or peeling.

The nonporous properties prohibit the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria - meaning it’s naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial. This is perfect for dogs with sensitive skin and/or allergies!
